Delhi Capitals are on the brink of losing a key player, Jake Fraser-McGurk, who’s out for the rest of the season.
The team is still in the playoff race but needs to win all their remaining matches.
New Addition to Delhi Capitals
Bengaluru-based Jake Fraser-McGurk has been ruled out, and Mustafizur Rahman will replace him, returning to the team after two years.
Delhi Capitals announced the news on their official Twitter handle, saying Mustafizur is back in the team.
The Bangladeshi fast bowler joins the team as they push for a playoff spot.
- Delhi Capitals are currently fifth in the IPL points table.
- They’ve played 11 matches, winning six and losing four, with one draw.
- Their 13 points put them in a challenging position, needing to win their remaining matches.
Delhi Capitals’ Road to Playoffs
Delhi’s recent form has been inconsistent – they won just one of their last five matches.
Captain Axar Patel’s team has three matches left, and they need to win at least two to stay in the playoff hunt.
Their upcoming matches are against Gujarat on May 18, followed by Mumbai and Punjab.
If Delhi loses two of these three matches, their playoff chances will be severely dented.
