According to Jordan Schultz of The Score, The 49ers are optimistic about the All-Pro wide receiver’s health after the sprained ankle. However, they will carry out further medical evaluations to confirm the severity of Samuel’s injury.

In the postgame conference, head coach Kyle Shanahan stated that he hopes Samuel’s injury is just a severe ankle sprain and not a fracture.
