Death of Mahesh Koneru: Filmmaker Mahesh Koneru dies of a heart attack at the age of 40

Tollywood producer Mahesh Koneru died of a heart attack on Tuesday. He was 40 years old. Mahesh had made some movies in Telugu under the East Coast Productions banner. His illustrious works include films such as ‘118’, ‘Thimaras’ and ‘Miss India’. He had nicknamed the Tamil film ‘Bigil’ starring Vijay in Telugu with the title ‘Vigil’.

The films produced by him are ‘Sabhaku Namaskaram’ starring Allari Naresh and ‘Police Vaari Hecharika’ starring Naga Shaurya.

Starting his career as a film journalist, Mahesh later worked as a personal assistant to Jr NTR and Kalyan Ram, both famous Telugu stars. He later became a publicist and marketing strategist in the film industry. Mahesh also handled public relations work for the blockbuster ‘Bahubali’.

The Telugu Film Producers Council condoles the passing of Mahesh Koneru and expresses its deepest condolences to his family. Many Tollywood celebrities have also expressed regret over Mahesh’s disappearance.

Jr NTR tweeted: “With the utmost and utter disbelief, I am telling you all that my dearest friend Mahesh Koneru is no more. I am shocked and completely speechless. My condolences to his family and loved ones is.”

Naga Shaurya tweeted: “Words are falling short of expressing my feelings. Truly saddened by the passing of a wonderful human being and our own Mahesh Koneru. My condolences to his family. Rest in peace sir.”

Director Maruthi tweeted, “It’s shocking and sad. This shouldn’t have happened at this young age, very regrettable indeed. Sincere condolences to his loved ones and loved ones.”
