In him, we all found ourselves, ”we can read on the French president’s Twitter account.

To accompany this message, the president chose a photograph of the actor during his younger years. The photo, in black and white, shows him with a slight smile on his lips.

The two men had met before. Indeed, in 2019, Emmanuel Macron decorated “Bébel” during a ceremony at the Elysee Palace. The opportunity to give him the badge of Grand Officer of the Legion of Honor. It was not the actor’s first visit to the presidential palace, since François Hollande had presented him with the insignia of Grand Officer of the National Order of Merit.
