Death of Jean-Paul Belmondo: return to the career of the great “Bébel”

Jean-Paul Belmondo died on Monday, September 6, at the age of 88. Back on the immense journey of this legend of French cinema.

A rich career for this actor, born in 1933 and first worked in the theater, after entering the conservatory at the age of 19. His spontaneity and charisma dusted off French cinema. Jean-Paul Belmondo alternates film noir, popular comedy, and auteur film. At the end of the 70s, he had a series of commercial successes. This king of stunts was forced to quit after an accident in 1985. He then triumphed in the theater, notably by playing Cyrano de Bergerac. His friend Claude Lelouch puts him back in the saddle with Itinerary of a spoiled child (1988), a title that suits him so well.
