DeAnna Pappas’s Ex Reveals Uber Income in Child Support Battle

Life after reality TV can take unexpected turns. Just ask Stephen Stagliano, former husband of ‘Bachelorette’ star DeAnna Pappas. He recently shared some surprising details about his finances in court documents. Stagliano is currently driving for Uber to make ends meet, a stark contrast to his past connection to celebrity life. This revelation comes as he and Pappas continue their legal battle over child support payments.

According to an exclusive report by Us Weekly, Stagliano, 41, filed court papers on September 30. These documents laid bare his financial situation. This was months after Pappas, 43, claimed he owed her more than $20,000 in back child support.

Stagliano explained his work as an Uber driver. He said he puts in about 10 to 15 hours a week. He earns around $22 per hour. He also mentioned holding a bachelor’s degree in history education and a master’s degree in education. In August, his Uber earnings were $436.43. On average, he makes about $650 a month, with $462 of that coming from unemployment.

"My only income sources are unemployment and driving Uber," he stated to the court. His last regular paycheck was $3,750 from Story Games, received on March 1, 2025. Stagliano used to work for this video company, but it ran out of money earlier this year.

Stagliano reported having $10,089 in cash and in his bank account. He stated he had no other money or property. His monthly expenses total $7,437. This includes $4,300 for rent, $500 for groceries, $100 for eating out, and $150 for clothes. Car expenses add up to $300. He also pays $1,000 toward credit card debt and $314 for a Ford Escape.

He also shared his active job search efforts. "I am actively looking for work," he said. "I have applied for over 150 jobs in different industries without luck." He drives Uber to make money when he can. He confirmed paying $1,500 each month in spousal support to Pappas.

Pappas also filed her own income and expense statement just a few days later, on October 3. She revealed that she lost her job as a flight attendant in June. This was with a California-based company where she had worked since 2011. She stated she earned no income last month because she was unemployed. "I am still actively looking for work," Pappas told the court. Before losing her job, she made over $16,000 per month.

Her income now includes $1,500 in spousal support from Stagliano. She also receives $1,755 in workers’ compensation. Pappas has also started an LLC for podcasting. She launched her own show called "Dishin With D," but it hasn’t brought in any money yet.

Pappas reported having about $95,000 in cash and bank accounts. She also has $20,000 in other personal belongings. Her total monthly expenses are $10,030. This breaks down to $4,500 for rent, $1,350 for healthcare, $700 for groceries, and $400 for restaurants. Utilities cost $300, a cell phone $230, and laundry $50. She spends $250 on clothes, $250 on entertainment, and $300 on donations, plus various other bills. Her debts include $17,000 on a Visa credit card and $3,456 on a Mastercard.

Currently, the former couple shares custody of their two children. Back in June, Pappas had accused Stagliano of owing $23,000 in overdue child support. She disagreed with his request to change the $2,500 child support payments he was ordered to make.

Pappas had a significant court win in June when a judge decided they would share joint custody. She spoke with Us Weekly about that time. "The last few years — especially the last few months — have been some of the most challenging of my life," she shared. "Through it all, I have stayed focused on putting my physical and mental health first. This helps me be the best version of myself for my two children. I am deeply thankful to the judge who took the time to truly listen and understand our situation."

She added, "This decision gives me peace, hope, and most importantly, the chance to keep being present in my children’s lives, where I belong. I am thankful for a fair and fact-based process, for my legal team, and for everyone who supported me. Love wins, and I am moving forward with hope and strength for what the Lord has planned for me. I am full of gratitude."

In August, Pappas also spoke exclusively with Us Weekly about dating after her divorce. "I’ve been through a lot of heartbreak," Pappas told them. "Some of it played out on national television when I was just a girl. Much of it happened in my marriage and divorce. I will not let any of that destroy who I am. I just won’t. I believe in partnership and companionship. To be honest, I truly think someone is out there for me."
