Details of the Shooting Incident
A tragic shooting incident occurred on Sunday night in the Plácido Ellauri neighborhood area, resulting in the loss of a young life and leaving a two-year-old child critically injured.
Victim and Injuries
The 22-year-old victim suffered fatal gunshot wounds, while his two-year-old daughter was also shot multiple times. The victim was rushed to the Capitán Tula polyclinic, where he unfortunately succumbed to his injuries. His daughter was taken to the Pereira Rossell hospital in a very serious condition.
Medical Report
According to the medical report, the victim sustained a total of nine gunshot wounds. Four bullets entered and exited his back, four entered and exited his right arm, and one entered and exited his right leg.
Circumstances of the Shooting
The victim and his daughter were traveling with a 30-year-old man in his private car when the incident occurred. The sister of the murdered man reported that they were on their way to a warehouse when unknown individuals on a motorcycle approached and began shooting without warning.
Police Investigation
The police have seized several items from the crime scene, including a modified Glock 17 magazine with 17 unexploded cartridges, eight of which were from the Ministry of the Interior. They also found 190 Uruguayan pesos and the ownership booklet for a Zanella Zr 200 motorcycle in the name of the victim.
