A woman is also wanted among the missing, the Upper Makefield Police Department added on its Facebook page.

The floods occurred on Saturday afternoon and swept away three cars that were circulating. In less than 45 minutes, according to Brewer’s statements published by The New York Times, between 5 and 7 inches of rain fell in North Philadelphia, the most populous city in the state.

The National Weather Service (NWS, for its acronym in English) pointed out this Sunday that there are about 40 million people in the Northeast United States at moderate risk of abundant rains, with the potential for flash flooding.
