David Martín makes the leap to professionals at the Eolo-Kometa

The Sevillian cyclist David Martín Romero has signed for two seasons with the EOLO-KOMETA Cycling Team, announced this Thursday the club, with which the sprinter ascends to professionalism.

The 22-year-old sprinter from Mairena de Aljarafe, comes from the under-23s of the Contador Foundation, in which he has competed in the last two seasons under the command of Rafa Díaz Justo and has achieved four victories, two of them, Valladolid and Ontur, in the Spanish Cycling Cup

“The road to get here is very hard. For both me and my family reaching professionalism is a very important achievement. Without them it would not have been possible. QOf course also without all the teammates who have supported me in these years and especially this season, “said Romero.

The Andalusian cyclist started on a mountain bike, a modality in which he achieved the final general of the Spanish Open in the cadet category, as well as the national runner-up; As of 2019, he focused on the road in the hands of Team Extremadura and two seasons later he ended up at the Contador Foundation.
