Dashbook, a innovative editorial company, has announced a financing round of 3 million euros. This investment is led by Seventure Partners, part of the Natixis Group, and BPIFRANCE BOURGOGNE-FRANCHE-COMTE. The funding will help Dashbook expand its operations and build on its achievements in France and Spain. The company plans to publish 500 titles per year in the next two years, focusing on growing its network of creators, improving its content and marketing analysis tools, and increasing its presence in major European markets.
Dashbook was founded in 2021 by entrepreneur David Botvinik and edition expert David Poirson. The company uses its own digital tools to identify, select, and transform attractive social media content into high-quality printed books. Its advanced technology simplifies the transition from digital to print, importing and categorizing various types of content such as videos, posts, and podcasts. This eliminates barriers for creators, such as the challenge of starting with a blank page. Dashbook supports editorial design, marketing campaigns, and distribution, offering content creators a unique opportunity to monetize their digital success and connect with their audiences in new ways.
“Content creators are passionate about technology and communication, and we provide them with adapted tools to transform their digital success into printed bestsellers,” said David Botvinik, co-founder of Dashbook. “By combining experience in marketing and technology with a deep knowledge of social networks, we allow creators to earn up to 30% of the sale price, significantly more than traditional publishing standards.” Dashbook’s social media presale campaigns optimize printing quantities, ensuring each publication is profitable. As a result, 100% of its titles generate positive gross margins.
Expansion in Spain
Spain has become a strategic market for Dashbook, as well as a growth center for creators, serving as a bridge to South America where many Spanish-speaking creators have significant audiences. The influencer marketing industry in Spain is expected to grow from 320 million euros in 2024 to 435.5 million euros in 2028, making the country an ideal market for Dashbook’s offerings. Dashbook has already published 20 titles in Spain, including books like “The power to have us” and “Good for the cook,” and has collaborated with creators such as @Celiagal7, @Ingri.mariscal, @quesadacid, and @inesjimm. These titles have achieved strong engagement and sales, reflecting Dashbook’s ability to connect creators with their audiences.
With the opening of its new office in Barcelona, which has a team of 18 people and plans to expand with 30 more additions this year, Dashbook is ready to strengthen its presence in Spain. The company plans to launch more than 50 new Spanish titles in 2025, establishing new standards in the Creator Economy. This expansion will help Dashbook achieve its goal of becoming a leading player in the European market, providing creators with innovative tools and opportunities to succeed.
