In the wake of the terrorist attack on Kabul Airport in Afghanistan, Western countries issued instructions to their citizens to stay away.

According to Al Arabiya News, the United States, Australia and the United Kingdom have warned their citizens to leave Kabul Airport and avoid going there due to security threats.

The three countries issued warnings to their citizens on Wednesday and Thursday, while thousands of foreigners, including thousands of Afghans, are still at Kabul airport.

More than 82,000 people have been evacuated from the country since the Taliban took power in Afghanistan.

On the other hand, Western countries want to evacuate as many people as possible by the August 31 deadline, while the Taliban have warned that no country’s presence in Kabul after August 31 will be tolerated.

According to US Secretary of State Anthony Blanken, the Taliban have opposed the extension but have promised to allow foreigners and Afghans to leave the country beyond August 31.

The State Department told those waiting at the Abbey Gate, East Gate and North Gate to leave immediately.

Earlier, the UK issued similar instructions telling people to “move to safety and wait for further instructions”.
