Dakar Rally 2025: What’s in Store for the World’s Toughest Race

The Dakar Rally: A Thrilling Adventure

The Dakar Rally is one of the most anticipated events in the world of automobile and motorcycling competition. This year, the rally will take place in Saudi Arabia from January 3 to 17, featuring 12 stages plus a prologue that will cover over 5,000 kilometers against the clock.

The 2025 edition of the Dakar Rally promises to be one of the most open and unpredictable in recent years. With Audi, the current winner, no longer in competition, two new official projects have taken its place: Dacia (Renault) and Ford. This change is expected to bring a fresh level of excitement to the rally.

Understanding the Dakar Rally Schedule

As the Dakar Rally is held in Saudi Arabia, the start and finish times of each day will be in the morning. Due to the time difference with the Arab kingdom, the stages will start in the early morning and end around noon in Spain.

According to the provisional departure times, the first motorcycles will start between 7 and 8 in the morning Saudi time, while the cars will start between 9 and 10 local time. However, on days when motorcycles and cars travel on different routes, the cars will adapt to the motorcycle schedule, resulting in earlier finish times.
