Dacia Opens Orders for Duster, Bigster HYBRID-G 150 4×4 SUVs

Dacia has opened orders for its new Duster and Bigster HYBRID-G 150 4×4 SUVs, introducing a unique powertrain that combines mild-hybrid, bi-fuel LPG, and all-wheel drive technology for enhanced efficiency and versatility.

This innovative system, new to the market, aims to redefine capabilities in the sport utility vehicle segment.

The HYBRID-G 150 4×4 powertrain features a 1.2-liter, 48-volt mild-hybrid engine producing 140 horsepower (103 kW) on the front axle. A 31-horsepower (23 kW) electric motor powers the rear axle.

Combined, the system delivers 150 horsepower (113 kW) through a six-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, ensuring smooth performance.

Drivers can operate in 100% electric mode for up to 60% of urban driving, thanks to the mild-hybrid system. The 48-volt battery recharges automatically during braking.

The bi-fuel capability, using both gasoline and liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), significantly reduces running costs by up to 30 percent. It also lowers carbon dioxide emissions by 20 grams.

With two 50-liter tanks, the Duster model can achieve a combined range of up to 932 miles (1,500 kilometers) under the WLTP cycle. This marks an impressive figure for the segment.

The intelligent 4×4 traction system is managed by the rear electric motor, which provides instant torque when loss of grip is detected.

Six driving modes are available: Auto, Eco, Snow, Mud/Sand, Lock, and Hill Descent Control. These modes adapt the vehicle to various terrains and conditions, with Hill Descent Control managing speeds between 2.5 and 18.6 miles per hour (4 to 30 km/h) on steep descents.

This system maintains the Duster and Bigster’s established off-road capabilities while adding new levels of efficiency, comfort, and hybrid technology.

The introduction of this electric, all-wheel drive, and bi-fuel combination represents a significant technological leap for Dacia. It reinforces the brand’s position as a pragmatic and innovative player in the European market.

The company also announced pricing and version structures for the MY26 Duster and Bigster HYBRID-G 150 4×4 models. These versions are positioned at the top of the range.

The first units are expected to arrive in dealerships during the first quarter of 2026.
