Daan Hoole Wins Giro Stage Amid Rainy Conditions

The streets of Pisa were set ablaze as Daan Hoole sped to victory in the 10th stage of the Giro d’Italia. This wasn’t just any win – it was his first in the WorldTour.
Hoole, 26, rode like a man possessed, covering the 28.6km course in a blistering 32.30 minutes. His average speed? A whopping 52.8 km/h.
He left the competition in the dust, including Britain’s Joshua Tarling, who finished a close second.
But Hoole’s win wasn’t without its challenges. The weather played a huge role, with some riders facing a dry road and others battling the rain.

Despite the odds

Hoole made the most of the dry conditions, pushing himself to the limit. He even managed to edge out Tarling, one of the best time trialists in the world.
“I couldn’t believe it,” Hoole said, still in shock. “I’m so grateful to my team, coaches, and family. This win is special – it’s crazy!”
The Mexican rider Isaac del Toro still holds the leader’s jersey, but his grip on it is tenuous at best. He finished 36th in the stage, over 2 minutes behind Hoole.
Del Toro’s UAE Emirates teammate, Juan Ayuso, is hot on his heels, just 25 seconds behind.
The battle for the top spot is far from over, with several riders still in contention. Primoz Roglic, Simon Yates, and Antonio Tiberi are all within striking distance.
As the Giro d’Italia heats up, one thing is certain – it’s going to be a wild ride.
