Curfew eased in Sri Lanka

Colombo: A nationwide curfew has been eased in Sri Lanka, with new Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe pushing for a new cabinet.

Authorities in Sri Lanka eased a 12-hour nationwide curfew on Saturday, as political stability stabilized in the country after the new prime minister, Ranil Wickremesinghe, took over the administration. Fresh signs have appeared.

According to Sri Lankan media, the curfew imposed in the country has been eased from 6 am to 6 pm on Saturday after several days. A curfew was imposed.

The curfew imposed across the country on Thursday and Friday was shortened so that people could buy necessities.

It is to be noted that the new Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe has been the Prime Minister of the country 6 times in the past, he has added new members in his cabinet, however he also included 4 ministers from the political party of former Prime Minister Mahendra Raja Pakse.
