The Cuban singer Dayami Lozada, known as the “Barbie of salsa”, was murdered last Saturday at her home, victim of several shots in the tourist state of Quintana Roo in Mexico.
According to Ciber Cuba, witnesses to the violent incident stated that at least five shots were heard around 2 in the afternoon, although at first it was not specified whether it was a direct attack against her or some other motive.
Lozada, 44, made a living as a singer in bars and nightclubs in the well-known tourist resort. I have resided in Cancun for more than 15 years.
The Cuban singer was the mother of three children, two of whom are minors.
