CSK vs GT IPL 2023 Final: In the IPL 2023 final, an exciting match was played between CSK captained by MS Dhoni and Gujarat Titans captained by Hardik Pandya. The special thing about this IPL season was that the two teams that played the first match of the season also met in the final. Until the last ball in the world’s biggest cricket league i.e. Indian Premier League which lasted for almost two months, it was difficult to predict which team would become the champion. With ten runs needed to win the last two balls, around 1:30 in the evening, cricket fans around the world were furious, but with Ravindra Jadeja in the crease, there was every chance something could happen. Meanwhile, what happened only once in the IPL’s 16-year history, happened once again on Monday night.

For the first time since IPL 2008, the run-chasing team won the match with the last ball.

In IPL history, 15 seasons were played before this final. But this has happened only once, when the team chasing the run won the match on the last ball. We will take you straight to the 2008 IPL Final. That year the final match was played between Chennai Super Kings captained by MS Dhoni and Rajasthan Royals captained by Shane Warne. The Chennai Super Kings team batted first and scored 163 runs with the loss of five wickets in the stipulated 20 overs. Meaning, Rajasthan Royals needed 164 runs to win this match. Lakshmipati Bala ji came with the twentieth. Sohal Tanvir was in front, he needed a last ball run to win and he did. Since then it has never happened until now when the team chasing runs on the last ball won the match but now it has happened.

CSK needed ten runs in the last two balls to win, Ravindra Jadeja won the match

Talking about the IPL 2023 final played between CSK and GT, the match was interrupted due to rain and when the match resumed after around two hours, CSK had to score 171 runs in 15 overs to win. Talking about the last over, Chennai Super Kings needed 14 runs from six balls. No run was scored on Mohit Sharma’s first ball and after that came two runs on two balls and the match looked stuck. Only one more run came on the fourth ball of the over. That is, now ten runs were going to be scored in two balls. GT and Mohit Sharma only had to take out a ball and the game would be in their pocket. But Ravindra Jadeja hit a six on the fifth ball of the over and the match had reached a special threshold of emotion. Now that four runs were needed from the last ball, Ravindra Jadeja showed his charisma by hitting a four. This feat may have happened for the second time in IPL, but Ravindra Jadeja’s work was bigger than Sohail Tanvir’s.
