Esports teams are always making big moves. On Wednesday, August 20, 2025, one such move became public. FURIA announced that Felipe “skullz” Medeiros was leaving their Counter-Strike 2 squad. This news came via a post on X, formerly known as Twitter. Skullz had been benched since April 2025, so his departure wasn’t a total surprise.
Skullz joined FURIA in July 2024. He played with the team for about a year. During that time, the team did not win any major titles with him on the roster. It’s tough when things don’t quite click, even with talented players.
Hoje nos despedimos do @skullzcs na #FURIACS
Expressamos nossa gratidão pelo empenho e comprometimento do jogador com a equipe, desejando que os próximos passos da sua trajetória sejam repletos de conquistas e realizações.

Before his time at FURIA, Skullz played for several other well-known teams. His past roster spots included Team Liquid, paiN, ODDIK, Liberty, and W7M. Now, he’s heading to Imperial. This move was confirmed by Imperial itself, also through a post on X. It seems like a new chapter is opening for the player.
With Skullz joining the ranks, Imperial’s Counter-Strike 2 lineup now looks like this:
- Felipe “skullz” Medeiros
- Kaiky “noway” Santos
- Marcelo “chelo” Cespedes
- Santino “try” Rigal
- Vinicius “VINI” Figueiredo
Velhos parceiros, uma nova casa.
Seja bem-vindo, @skullzcs💀

Rumors have been flying for a while that Imperial wanted Skullz. He was a long-term target for them. They aimed to bring him in as a replacement for Lucas “decenty” Bacelar. An earlier attempt to sign him didn’t work out. At that time, the price FURIA asked for was too high, and Imperial pulled back from the deal. It just goes to show that in esports, much like traditional sports, negotiations can be tricky. But sometimes, patience pays off.
