Esports organization BC.Game Esports has fueled speculation of a major player acquisition, potentially signing veteran Counter-Strike 2 star Håvard “rain” Nygaard, following a cryptic social media post that has ignited the global gaming community.
The speculation centers around a message posted on X, formerly Twitter, by BC.Game Esports on October 17, 2025. The post read, “it’s raining today be safe out there 🤭”.
This message is widely interpreted by the CS2 community as a playful reference to Nygaard’s in-game name, “rain.”
A potential move to BC.Game Esports would see Nygaard reunite with Oleksandr “s1mple” Kostyliev, another high-profile player recently signed by the organization. Both Nygaard and Kostyliev previously played for FaZe Clan.
Despite the widespread online buzz, no official confirmation has been made by either the player or BC.Game Esports. The social media post remains the sole basis for the current transfer rumors.
Nygaard’s departure from FaZe Clan, after nearly a decade with the organization, surprised many fans. He had been a cornerstone of the team since joining in January 2016, following a brief stint with G2.
His final competitive appearance for FaZe was in a best-of-three series loss against MOUZ during ESL Pro League Season 22.
