CS2 Budapest Major: Brazilians Shine Early, Fluxo 2-0

Brazilian esports teams made a strong initial impact at the StarLadder Budapest Major 2025 Counter-Strike 2 tournament, with one squad poised to advance to the next stage.

Fluxo leads the Brazilian contingent after securing a 2-0 record in the opening rounds of the global championship. The team is now one best-of-three series win away from advancing to Stage 2.

Fluxo won its first two matches, defeating GamerLegion 13-10 and then fnatic 13-9. They are scheduled to play FlyQuest early Tuesday, local time (UTC-3), for a spot in the next phase.

Three other Brazilian teams are competing in the major: Legacy, RED Canids, and Imperial. All three hold a 1-1 record after two rounds of play.

Legacy secured a 13-6 victory against Rare Atom after an initial 10-13 loss to FlyQuest. RED Canids recovered from a 14-16 defeat against fnatic to beat GamerLegion 13-6.

Imperial started strong with a 13-11 win over Rare Atom but then fell 6-13 to FlyQuest.

The second Counter-Strike 2 world championship of the year began on Monday, June 24, utilizing a Swiss-style format where teams with identical win-loss records compete against each other.

Upcoming matches for the remaining Brazilian teams on Tuesday, local time (UTC-3), include a “classic” Brazilian matchup between Legacy and RED Canids, while Imperial will face fnatic.
