Cryptocurrencies: Binance Joins the Portuguese Blockchain Alliance

“The agreement we have just signed is a sign of the strategic importance that Portugal has for Binance. We are determined to invest in Portugal, hire local talent and promote blockchain projects launched by Portuguese entrepreneurs.”

For his part, Rui Serapicos, president of Aliança Portuguesa de Blockchain, stated that “Binance plays an important role in the world of cryptocurrencies and, therefore, we are very happy to be able to help them reach Portugal.”

“We are introducing Binance to all current local blockchain ecosystem stakeholders and also collaborating with them in launching some promising blockchain and crypto training programs.”

Also according to Alberto Ortiz, “Binance wants to work to improve financial education and technological knowledge in Portugal, bringing new talents to the blockchain industry.”

“We plan to launch blockchain and cryptography training programs, in coordination with the Portuguese Blockchain Alliance and the most prestigious universities and management schools in the country. The details of the program and the concrete initiatives will be presented in the coming weeks by Binance and Aliança. ”

In short, the agreement between Aliança Portuguesa de Blockchain and Binance was signed in Lisbon on January 19 by Rui Serapicos, president of alliance, and by Alberto Ortiz, Country Head of Binance for the Iberian Peninsula. This follows the visit of Changpeng Zhao (CZ), founder and CEO of Binance, to Portugal last December.
