Powell transferred the funds in ETH, taking advantage of the campaign’s acceptance of crypto donations since last month. He expressed excitement to join other leaders in the crypto community in supporting the only pro-crypto major party candidate in the 2024 presidential election.

Tyler and Cameron Winklevoss, founders of Gemini, previously donated $1 million to Trump’s campaign in BTC. They announced on June 20 that they had each donated 15.47 BTC to Trump and would support him in November.
Whether Trump will actually turn these statements into concrete plans remains to be seen. The presidential candidate has not yet made any specific policy proposals for crypto.
Crypto Exchange Coinbase Sues US Government
We are also seeing a shift taking place in America. Crypto companies are launching a counterattack against the self-appointed crypto watchdog, the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). Coinbase, the largest crypto exchange in the US, has taken legal action against the SEC and the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC). The charges include Coinbase’s failure to comply with Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests seeking information about the SEC’s positions on the Ethereum network and its transition to a proof-of-stake (PoS) consensus mechanism.
