Cruzeiro Defeats Flamengo 2-1 with Gabigol Scoring Winning Goal in Stoppage Time

Cruzeiro scored a crucial win over Flamengo on Sunday, taking the match 2-1 in the seventh round of the Brasileirão. The game, held at Mineirão, saw Cruzeiro take an early lead when Kaio Jorge scored after a pass from Lucas Romero at the 15-minute mark.

Flamengo fought back, equalizing just before halftime. Giorgian de Arrascaeta scored the goal following a play set up by Gerson. The score remained tied until the seventh minute of stoppage time. Gabigol scored on a rebound after missing a penalty kick against his former team.

This win puts Cruzeiro ahead, but Palmeiras still holds the top spot under Abel Ferreira’s leadership. Bragantino is also closing in on the top position.
