Cruise Drugs case: Aryan Khan asks Bombay High Court for bail, hearing could be held today

Aryan Khan, son of Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan, is in jail in connection with the seizure of drugs from a cruise ship near the shore in Mumbai. His bail declaration was rejected yesterday by the NDPS special court, after which his lawyers immediately filed an appeal in the Bombay High Court challenging the lower court order. Aryan’s request can be heard.

Aryan’s attorneys are likely to file the single court appeal from Judge NW Sambre today. A special court in the metropolis had denied Aryan and two other people bail on Wednesday afternoon. Special judge VV Patil dismissed bail requests from Aryan and his two friends Arbaaz Merchant and fashion model Munmun Dhamecha.

At the same time, the Arthur Road Jail Administration has said that all defendants, including Aryan Khan, will not be brought to High Court today. Rather, they will all be presented in the courtroom via video conference. The three defendants were arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) on October 3 and are currently in judicial custody.

Let us report that Aryan Khan, Arbaaz Merchant and other defendants were held at Barracks Number One of the Arthur Road Jail in Mumbai. Barracks 1 has been prepared as an isolation room during the Corona period. Every time a new prisoner arrives at the jail, he is kept in the isolation room, that is, the number one barracks for 1 week. All the accused, including Aryan Khan, have been kept in separate barracks.
