Crisis in Ukraine: “Several hundred” French soldiers ready to be deployed in Romania, announces Florence Parly

“The dialogue continues and we are convinced that it is through dialogue, it is through diplomatic and political solutions that we must resolve this conflict”assured the Minister of the Armed Forces Florence Parly on France Inter on Saturday January 29, about the crisis in Ukraine. “The conditions for a possible military intervention by Russia have been put in place” in Ukraine, she said.

She estimated the number of soldiers mobilized at “several tens of thousands of men distributed either on the northern part” and mentioned “a rise in power in the eastern part of Ukraine”.
