A 58-year-old man is hospitalized in stable condition at CTI after being shot during an attack rapein his warehouse in the Villa Camila neighborhood, in the area Toledo Chico from Montevideo.
The attack happened on Sunday afternoon. Two armed criminals broke into his shop, shot him and stole money. Neighbors who were in the square and saw the situation stole the money by taking the thieves’ backpack and keeping their motorcycle.
The criminals managed to escape and are at large. They have been wanted by the police ever since.
The vehicle broke down on the street and was set on fire by neighbors in protest.
