Criminals on Motorcycles Shoot Over 20 Times at Van, Killing Driver

Maracana — A man was fatally shot in the Maracana neighborhood after two assailants on a motorcycle opened fire on his vehicle. According to initial reports obtained by News Agency, the incident took place around 2:00 p.m. on Thursday.

The perpetrators fired twenty-three shots at a Ford Ranger pickup truck, killing the driver, who was the sole occupant. The victim died instantly.

Following the shooting, the assailants abandoned the motorcycle and a backpack containing ammunition, fleeing the scene on foot along Route 1 and Cibils Road.

The deceased has been identified as a 59-year-old man with a criminal history, including robbery, brawling, and drug-related investigations. Authorities indicate that he was affiliated with “Los Colo,” a notorious drug trafficking family from Cerro Norte.
