Smriti Mandhana, the vice-captain of the Indian women’s cricket team, is set to marry music and film director Palash Muchhal. The high-profile wedding will take place on November 23.
The couple will tie the knot in Sangli, Maharashtra. Invitation cards have been distributed to the Muchhal family’s relatives and guests in Indore.
Following the main ceremony, a grand reception is anticipated in Mumbai. This event is expected to draw prominent figures from both the film industry and the cricketing world.
The Muchhal family has not yet finalized plans for a reception in Indore. Palash is the brother of renowned Bollywood singer Palak Muchhal.
Palash himself has a background in music, having composed for several films before transitioning into film direction. He has collaborated with his sister, Palak, on charitable shows for children with heart conditions.
He completed his schooling in Indore and previously resided in a specific area of the city. Recently, Palash was in Indore when Mandhana was there for a Women’s World Cup match.
At that time, he stated that Indore “lives in his heart” and that Mandhana would soon become “Indore’s daughter-in-law.” This public statement hinted at their impending union.
Their relationship first came into public discussion three years ago. Mandhana had attended Palak Muchhal’s wedding, sparking rumors about her connection with Palash.
Palash is currently directing a new film titled “Raju Band Wala.” The project features Chandan Rai, known for his work in the series “Panchayat,” in a leading role.
