Cricket Australia was forced to apologize for using a racist term towards Pakistan

The Pakistan cricket team’s tour of Australia is now making headlines due to a new controversy. There is an uproar here over the use of the word “Paki” to mean Pakistan. Pakistan’s cricket fans and cricket experts term it as a shameful act. After the controversy escalated, Cricket Australia has also apologized over the matter.

The Pakistan team played a practice match against the Australian Prime Minister 11 in Canberra. On the first day of the match, i.e. on Wednesday, when the first innings of the game was underway and Pakistani batsmen were on the field. Then Fox Cricket Broadcast made a mistake. Here on the television footage it said PAKI instead of PAK. The word “PAKI” is considered racist because it refers to a person born in or from Pakistan.

When that word appeared on the scoreboard, a journalist named Danny Saeed noticed the mistake and posted it on social media along with the photo. Within no time, this picture went viral on social media and many Pakistan cricket fans criticized Cricket Australia and called it fake. When Cricket Australia came to know about this mistake, they issued a statement and apologized on the matter.

Saeed also posted Cricket Australia’s statement on social media. According to him, Cricket Australia said about this error: “This graphic is from an automated feed that has never been used before for the Pakistan team’s matches.” This was clearly disappointing. As soon as the error became known, we fixed it manually.

The Pakistan team has to play a three-match T20 series against Australia starting December 14. Before that, she plays a practice game. We tell you that Pakistan has not won the Test series in Australia even once. In fact, it has been 27 years since he won a Test match in Australia.
