Covid-19: France puts Israel and the United States on its “orange” list

The decree was published in the official newspaper on Thursday and is expected to take effect on Sunday.

For the unvaccinated in Israel and the United States, the arrival on French soil will become tougher. France has adopted a decree Thursday 9 September raising the level of the United States and Israel from green to orange. This means that once applied, on Sunday, September 12, all people who do not have a complete vaccination schedule who wish to enter France from these two countries will have to follow new regulations.

A convincing reason is now mandatory to reach France and a seven-day self-isolation is requested. In addition to a negative PCR test of less than 72 hours or an antigen test of less than 48 hours, these people can be subjected to random antigen tests once they arrive on French soil.

The European Union also removed the United States and Israel from the list of countries “safe” on the last 30th of August.
