The Dominican Republic announced this Wednesday that it will send 477 athletes, 205 women, to compete in the XXIV Central American and Caribbean Games to be held from June 23 to July 8 in San Salvador.
The total delegation will be 680 people, specified the Dominican Olympic Committee (COD).
A part of the delegation 84 competitors, 32 coaches and technicians and other types of personnel, will remain in the Caribbean country that will host the disciplines of taekwondo, shotgun shooting, racquetball, canoeing, field hockey, equestrian, and modern pentathlon as sub-headquarters.
In that order, the delegation that will travel to San Salvador will be made up of 542 people, 393 of them athletes, 126 coaches and technicians, as well as 19 doctors and physiotherapists.
All personnel traveling to the Salvadoran capital must get vaccinated against yellow feverstated the information.
The advance of the delegation will travel to San Salvador next June 11.
Dominican Republic added 25 gold medals, 29 silver and 53 bronzes in the Central American and Caribbean Games in Barranquilla (Colombia) 2018, the highest number he achieved in this type of event and which helped him maintain the fifth place he obtained in Veracruz (Mexico) 2014 and Mayagüez (Puert Rico) 2010.
