Country is the meeting place of the Free Zones

Dominican Republic is home to the XXV Conference of Ibero-American Free Zonesan event that brings together delegates from 21 countries and whose opening was led yesterday by President Luis Abinader and the Minister of Industry, Commerce and Mipymes, Víctor -Ito- Bisonó.

The international event that takes place in Punta Cana is organized by the Association of Free Zones of the Americas (AZFA)the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and MSMEs (MICM), the Dominican Association of Free Zones (Adozona) and the National Council of Export Free Zones (CNZFE).

The MICM minister, Víctor Bisonó, described this meeting as the most important for the free zone sector in Ibero-America, for the call of experts, businessmen, investors, government entities and suppliers of this industry from more than 21 countries and two continents to analyze the current situation, advances, innovations, best practices, trends and future challenges of the sector.

The conclave will address issues of technology and innovation, integration, sustainability, resilience, and future challenges free zones, fundamental catalysts of the economy.

ProgramThe welcoming remarks were given by President Luis Abinader, followed by Mohammed Alzarooni, president of the World Organization of Free Zones, and Gustavo González, president of the Association of Free Zones of the Americas (AZFA).
