Corsica: after the white plan, the restrictions were extended to the entire island

Corsica is facing an increase in pollution and its incidence rate. To stop the spread of the virus, “stop” measures have been extended to the entire island.

Among them, the closure of bars and restaurants at 1 am, as well as the use of outdoor masks in the main towns.

Hospitalizations have risen steadily in Corsica for some time, with 69 people currently in treatment, up from 27 last week. Most worryingly, there were 21 admissions in three days, between July 31 and August 2, putting pressure on staff.

At the Bastia hospital, “occupancy rates to date exceed 79%, so it is necessary to open new hospitalization capacities,” explains the ARS.

The authorities ask for vigilance and responsibility. These measures are in effect until August 18 inclusive.
