CONTAMINATIONS

This Saturday, October 9, 4,734 new cases of Covid-19 were identified in twenty-four hours, according to figures from Public Health France, a total of 7,052,520 cases confirmed since the start of the epidemic.

The test positivity rate remains at 1%.

HOSPITALIZATIONS

The number of Covid-19 patients hospitalized in France continues to decrease. Today, 6,706 people were hospitalized, against 6,805 the day before and 11,000 at the beginning of September. Among these patients, 1,127 are hospitalized in the intensive care units reserved for the most serious cases, against 1,164 on Friday.

DEATHS

In twenty-four hours, 17 people died of Covid in hospital. The total death toll stands at 117,044 deaths since the start of the epidemic, including 90,195 in hospital.

THE VACCINATION

Since the start of the vaccination campaign, 50,555,192 people had received at least one dose of vaccine on Friday (i.e. 75.5% of the total population) and 49,048,908 people now have a complete vaccination schedule (i.e. 73.2% of the total population).
