Melbourne. The threat of the corona virus in the Ashes series is continually increasing. The team’s head coach, Chris Silverwood, tested positive in the Kovid-19 investigation after the Corona cases reached the England camp during the third test. Let me tell you, Silverwood lived isolated in Melbourne with his family.
Silverwood is likely to join the team before Test 5 in Hobart. Silverwood was left out of the squad ahead of Test four against Australia which begins in Sydney on Wednesday. He had to live in isolation after a member of his family became infected with the corona virus.
According to ‘Sky Sports’, the Cricket Board of England and Wales (ECB) issued a statement saying: “Silverwood has been in isolation in Melbourne since December 30 after a member of his family tested positive for Kovid-19. He will remain in isolation until January 8. The ECB said Silverwood shows no symptoms of the disease and has been fully vaccinated. “Silverwood is expected to return to the England team before the fifth Test of the Ashes to be played in Hobart.” He said.
Silverwood faces harsh criticism from former England players after losing the first three games to Ashes. Some former combatants have demanded his dismissal. England have already announced that Adam Holyoke will not join the technical team before the fourth round. One of his close contacts tested positive for coronavirus. The team’s assistant coach, Graham Thorpe, will guide the team into the next game. Their practice session on Sunday was also canceled after one of the team’s net pitchers tested positive for COVID-19.
