Córdoba FC Salary Cap Issues: Challenges and Impact on the Team

Córdoba CF Struggles to Stay Competitive Amidst Financial Constraints

Club Salary Cap to be "One of the Lowest" in LaLiga

The CEO of Córdoba CF, Antonio Fernández Monterrubio, has revealed that the club’s salary cap will be one of the lowest in the Spanish top-flight division, despite efforts from investment fund Infinity Venture, linked to the Royal House of Bahrain, which owns the club. This is a significant challenge for the club as it returns to professional football after a hiatus.

Debt Forgiveness and Second Division Fee Contribute to Financial Struggles

The club has a debt of almost 30 million euros, which it aims to forgive through a document to be presented to LaLiga. Additionally, the cost of paying for a place in the Second Division, required by LaLiga, stands at 3.5 million euros, which would further reduce the club’s ability to spend on its workforce. However, Infinity Venture is expected to finance the second division fee, which would minimize the impact on the club’s staff.

Cordoba CF Secures Six Signings Despite Financial Constraints

Despite these challenges, the club has already closed six signings for the summer, and is set to officially launch its 2024-25 season ticket campaign on Monday, August 22nd. The campaign will offer prices ranging from 80 to 360 euros for members and 100 to 400 euros for new subscribers. The club is also introducing a new option, allowing fans to transfer their season ticket for seven matches throughout the campaign.
