Copyright claim to “Swatantrya Veer Savarkar”, war between Randeep Hooda and Sandeep Singh

The film “Swatantrya Veer Savarkar” is in a legal battle. Both director and actor Randeep Hooda and filmmaker Sandeep Singh claim copyright to the film’s story. In fact, when production of the film was announced, Randeep Hoodi was both the lead actor and co-producer of the film. However, when the film’s poster came out, it had the names of Anand Pandit and Sandeep Singh as the creators.

Now Randeep Hooda Productions has filed a copyright claim for the film Veer Savarkar and is claiming its ownership. This biopic about Veer Savarkar is Randeep Hooda’s first film. The press release issued by Randeep states that the actor who shot and directed this film is facing many challenges and now other organizations are trying to wrest the rights from him.

A press release from Randeep Hooda’s attorney claimed that the actor struggled with physical, mental and financial issues in the making of the film. He played the lead role in the film with full dedication. To fit the role, Randeep risked his life and significantly reduced his weight. But now other organizations are trying to violate their legal rights.

At the same time, these claims were answered on behalf of Sandeep Singh and Anand Pandit. His attorney replied on his behalf that Legend Studios Pvt Ltd and Anand Pandit Motion Pictures LLP are 100% producers and owners of the film Swatantra Veer Savarkar. Randeep Hooda’s claims regarding the rights to the film are false and unfounded. Makers Legend Studios Pvt Ltd and Anand Pandit Motion Pictures LLP have signed Randeep Hooda to star in the film.
