Tigre failed last night to impose his locality against Deportes Tolima, from Colombia, with whom he ended up drawing goalless for the fourth date of Group D of the Copa Sudamericana. With this result, the Matador rescued at least one point that is important for qualifying for the round of 16, since it continues in second place in the Group with 7 units, 3 units behind the leader San Pablo, which won on Tuesday the 2nd to 0 against Puerto Cabello, from Venezuela –last without units–, while Tolima –which ended with ten players due to the expulsion of Mosquera– occupies the third position, with 5 units. On the next date, Tigre will face Puerto Cabello on Tuesday, June 6 from 9:00 p.m.; and Tolima will visit San Pablo, leader of group D, on June 8 from 7:00 p.m.
Newell’s played in Bolivia
Newell’s Old Boys, leader of Group E with 9 points and no goals against, visited Blooming from Bolivia from 23, in search of a good result that would classify them to the second phase. The game was played at the Ramón Tahuichi Aguilera Costas stadium, in Santa Cruz de la Sierra, with Colombian Carlos Andrés Betancur officiating. In the second and third position of the group are Audax Italiano from Chile and Santos from Brazil, both with 4, while the Bolivians did not add any points after having lost the three games they played.
