It will be the first and only round to be played in a double game. The clashes will be known through a pure draw to be held next Monday. Osasuna seeks to make history and is not afraid of the giants, the three teams with the most cup titles will be in the drums. Between all of them there are 73 gimped.
Barcelona achieved the ticket for the semifinals by winning by the minimum against Real Sociedad; Osasuna had to resort to extra time to topple Sevilla just like Real Madrid to beat Atlético. Athletic beat Valencia 1-3. This leaves the possibility of a Clásico in the semifinals or another ‘classic’ cup match such as Barça-Athletic, the two teams with the most gimps in this competition.
These semifinals will also bring an added problem: The first leg of the semifinals of the Copa del Rey for Real Madrid cannot be played on the scheduled date. On February 8 they have to play the Club World Cup, which will force them to delay their clash until mid-late February (if there is no Clásico) or look for a date between March and April if the draw holds a Real Madrid-Barcelona match.

The Luis Aragonés Hall of the Ciudad del Fútbol will be the stage where the balls are drawn. The first legs will be played in the field of the first and third ball drawn.
