According to Indian media, despite the rise in international prices, prices of cooking mustard, soybean, peanut, palm oil and other edible oils have been declining in the local market of India.

Prices of various edible oils including soybean, mustard, palm oil and groundnut in the local market have come down by Rs 7 to 10 per liter. It may be recalled that the Indian government had last week announced a reduction of Rs 9.5 per liter in petrol prices.

According to Indian media, the government had reduced the excise duty on petroleum products due to which the price of petrol has been reduced by Rs 9 and a half (Indian) per liter and the price of diesel by Rs 7 per liter.
