Britain News: A senior Conservative Party MP and former minister on Saturday backed Rishi Sunak to replace Boris Johnson as Tory leader. He said that the former Finance Minister (Sunak) has everything required for this top post. Michael Gove, who was dramatically sacked from the cabinet by Johnson, has described the plans to cut taxes by front-runner Liz Truss as prime minister.
Sunak is the only person giving the right argument
The minister said that in the competition for leadership, Sunak is the only person who is giving the right arguments and telling the truth to the voters. Gove told The Times newspaper: “I know what this position requires. And Rishi has those things.” The senior Tory leader said, “Even more important is what the next government will adopt in its central economic plan. And here I am deeply concerned that the leadership debate by many has been far from the truth. The question of cost of living cannot be dismissed through deduction of taxes. ,
Sunak has told the truth on central economic questions
Michael Gove said, “I believe Sage made the right arguments. He has spoken the truth on central economic questions. We cannot cut further general taxation until inflation is controlled, and spending is controlled and borrowing reduced.” Meanwhile, Sunak welcomed Gove’s support, tweeting, “Michael Gove in the team Good news to come.
