Conor McGregor shows how he dislocated his finger and fixed it in a Netflix documentary

This Wednesday, Irish mixed martial arts fighter Conor McGregor premiered documentary on the platform Netflixthe same in which he talks about one of the most critical moments of his career and that even put his continuity in the Octagon in check.

In July 2021, McGregor suffered a terrible ankle fracture in the fight against the American Dustin Poirier, This caused ‘The Notorius’ to be out of the Octagon for several months.

Those images went viral around the world, video cameras captured precisely the moment in which the Irishman’s ankle was turned. Still, it wasn’t the scariest moment in his career.

A ‘chilling’ scene

Before McGregor’s fight against Khabib Nurmagomedov, his biggest rival in the UFC, McGregor had to adjust his toes after dislocating his foot in training.

“You have to understand that my foot was a balloon when I went into that fight,” McGregor said during an interview with ESPN in 2019. I have all these backed up images of that whole camp. I broke my foot three weeks after that fight. My foot was a balloon.” He added: “My toes came out of the socket and some guy had to go into the cage and put them back in place, the thing swelled up and I limped in there and walked him back. down and I didn’t give a shit.”

During a training session with Moldovan wrestler Kosti Gnusariov at his SBG HQ, McGregor landed awkwardly on his foot after being shot down.
