For fans who follow YouTube personality Carmen Andrade, known for sharing her life as a conjoined twin, there’s big news to celebrate. Carmen, 25, quietly tied the knot with her boyfriend, Daniel McCormack, 28. The couple confirmed they eloped last October, keeping their special day a private affair.
Carmen and Daniel’s love story began on the dating app Hinge back in October 2020. Since then, they’ve been open about their journey, often posting updates on social media. They recently shared more details about their secret wedding in a YouTube video. It was titled “Pending Update,” and it certainly delivered on that promise!
“I should probably mention something else pretty important,” Carmen said in a May video she filmed with her twin sister, Lupita Andrade. She then dropped the bombshell: “Yes, I got married… to the same guy I’ve been with for the last five years.”
The wedding was a small event, attended only by their immediate families. Daniel explained why they chose such a private ceremony. “I don’t like those weddings where you invite your cousin’s friend’s nephew’s uncle,” he remarked. He added that he didn’t feel the need to invite someone he hadn’t seen since he was a small child. Carmen agreed with Daniel’s view, noting that her own social anxiety made a small gathering the perfect choice for their big day.
“It was pretty,” Carmen recalled of the autumnal ceremony. “It was fall, which made it even more special.” She also shared a personal style choice: “I didn’t wear white, and I don’t regret it. I don’t like white, but that’s just me.”

Lupita, also 25, made it clear that she was not part of the wedding plans. She identifies as asexual and expressed no desire to marry. “I don’t want to get married because I don’t want to,” Lupita stated simply.
Weeks after the wedding news, Daniel publicly celebrated Carmen’s birthday with a sweet message online. On June 5, he posted a heartfelt tribute. “Happy birthday to my amazing wife, life partner, and my best friend forever,” Daniel wrote on Instagram.

Finding love was a unique journey for Carmen. She never tried to hide being a conjoined twin when she was dating. This meant she often received messages from men with unusual interests. However, Daniel was different. “I knew right away Daniel was different,” Carmen told Today.com in 2024. “He didn’t start with a question about my condition.” She also shared that her social anxiety often led her to cancel dates at the last minute. But with Daniel, she felt a calm sense of ease on her way to meet him.
Carmen also pointed out that Daniel and Lupita get along very well. “It’s funny because I stay up later than Lupita,” she explained. “But when Daniel stays over, I fall asleep right away. He ends up talking with her.” Carmen admitted she sometimes feels a little bad wanting to spend so much time with Daniel. To balance things, they make compromises. For example, Lupita sometimes gets to pick where they go for dinner or what activity they do together.
