Conforama Iberia has appointed Manuel Estévez as new CEO. Estevez replaces David Almeida who has been managing the company on the peninsula since 2016.
Estévez was associated with Conforama from 2008 to 2020, initially as General Director at Conforama Iberia and since 2016 as CEO of Conforama Italia. At this point, the manager drove changes in the store concept and resumed the company’s expansion.
With a degree in Economics from the University of Barcelona, Estévez has developed his professional career in leading companies on the peninsula and in Europe, such as: Carrefour, Alcampo, Grupo Adeo and recently Feu Vert.
In his new position as CEO of Conforama Iberia will take on the challenge of driving the company’s expansion and growth in the Iberian Peninsulawhere there are 58 branches (45 in Spain and 13 in Portugal).

The appointment follows the takeover of the company by the XXXLutz Group and its integration into its Giga International purchasing group. Conforama has been present on the Iberian Peninsula for more than 30 years and now the company is planning thanks to the support of the new shareholder «further strengthen its position in the market«.
