The National Council of Private Companies (CONEP) expressed its support for the new Public Health measures to continue combating Covid-19 in which it establishes, among other provisions, that people over 12 years of age must present an identity document and your vaccination card with at least two doses of the coronavirus vaccine to be able to attend in person at work centers and other places of public use.
CONEP highlighted the importance of the population being vaccinated with at least two doses of the Covid-19 vaccine to accelerate the return to normality and continue with the reestablishment of sanitary conditions in the Dominican Republic.
Among the measures contained in resolution number 000048, by virtue of the General Health Law number 42-01, which confirms the epidemic in the national territory, the mandatory use of masks, frequent hand washing and respect for physical distancing are maintained. , as well as the other health protocols in force. Public use establishments may receive people only up to 75% of their total capacity.
CONEP’s support was offered at a meeting between the Minister of Public Health, Daniel Rivera, and the CONEP Board of Directors, in which the Minister of Health insisted on a special thanks to the business sector for all the contributions it has been making to face the pandemic.
“The contributions and collaboration of the Dominican private sector since the beginning of the pandemic has been fundamental in the fight against the coronavirus, they have been of immense value.” stressed the Minister.
CONEP President Pedro Brache stated that “the business sector is committed to supporting the authorities to achieve the goal of 70% vaccinated throughout the population.”
At the meeting, which took place at the CONEP headquarters, were present the Minister of Health Daniel Rivera, Eladio Pérez, Vice Minister of Collective Health, and Luis Tolentino, Legal Consultant. For CONEP, in addition to its President Pedro Brache and Executive Vice President Cesar Dargam, the members of its Board of Directors were present.
