The National Council for Private Enterprise (CONEP) and the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) called on the business sector to present initiatives with an economic, social and environmental impactthat contribute to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) of the 2030 Agenda to be recognized and be part of the “Catalogue of Promising Practices 2023”.
“Promising Practices” is an initiative that seeks to recognize the strategies of the Dominican private sector to impact, mitigate risks and contribute significantly to achieving the SDGs, as a strategic partner for the advancement of the 2030 Agenda.
Since the launch of the first edition in 2020, “Promising Practices” has received 135 initiatives from more than 110 companies and organizationsfor its positive economic, social and environmental impacts in the country, and its contribution to the advancement of the 2030 Agenda in its 5 spheres: planet, people, prosperity, peace and institutions, and alliances.
They can present all their initiatives companies, unions and private organizations that want to make visible their value proposals and initiatives linked to their main activity that demonstrate their commitment to sustainability as a pillar of their business models.
With this call, Conep and UNDP seek to recognize and systematize successful and innovative proposals with tangible results that accelerate the achievement of the SDGsand that are revolutionizing the way of doing business in the Dominican Republic, advancing towards more sustainable, inclusive and resilient production models.
There are two ways to participate in the callone for micro and small companies with less than 50 employees and another for medium and large companies with more than 51 employees.
The entities reported that to participate, you must access and complete the online form available in creating your profile in order to start filling it out online and upload the evidence that supports the application.
The period for sending the initiatives will be open from June 12 and until August 15. After the closing of the call, the applications will be evaluated by the jury to select the winners.
