Company inaugurates direct flights from Madrid to Samaná

The airline Soltour “successfully” inaugurated the first flight between Madrid and the Samaná peninsula in the Dominican Republic, according to a statement.

Specific, direct flights to Samaná will be operated every Thursday until September 14 of this year, departing from Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas Airport bound for El Catey International Airport – Presidente Juan Bosch.

The flights depart at 4:50 p.m. and arrive in Samaná at 7:25 p.m. (local time). and will be operated by an A330 aircraft.

All seats were occupied on the inaugural flight, with 388, some of them being occupied by journalists of the main national media, lifestyle and travel in Spain and Portugal, as well as ‘influencers’.

Upon arrival, this flight was enlivened with a performance, to the rhythm of local music, by the Folkloric Ballet of the Ministry of Tourism of the Dominican Republic. In addition, a cake with the flag of both countries was distributed among the first visitors arriving on this inaugural Soltour flight.

Samaná, which is located in the northeast of the Dominican Republic, “is a destination with beaches linked to a varied gastronomy and culture and is characterized by the great natural wealth that floods the entire peninsula,” according to the company.

During the stay in Samana, Travelers will be able to stay in 4 and 5 star hotelsincluding two Bahia Principe Hotels & Resorts and another from the Viva Hotels chain, all of them on an all-inclusive basis.

For the technical director of Soltour, Juan Llaneras, the operation to Samaná and the reinforcement year after year of its relationship with the Dominican government, reaffirms its commitment to “this paradisiacal Caribbean destination.”
