The Dominican Hydroelectric Generation Company (EGEHID) reported that they are already published on the portal of the General Directorate of Public Procurement and Contracting, exhausting the process and the terms contemplated in Law 340-06, the set of road works for the municipal district of Tavera, province of La Vega.
The works, grouped into seven lots, will entail an investment of more than RD$ 495.6 million and include the construction and reconstruction of highways and roads that connect at least 12 communities in Tavera.
The works were published on the Transparency portal on October 19 and 28, 2022. Among the works scheduled to start in the next few days, in accordance with the schedule given by law, is the construction of the Loma La Gallina-La Cabra road ; construction of the El Morro-El Desecho road; construction of the La Jina-Loma La Gallina and La Jina-El Coco roads; construction of the La Jina-Conuco Viejo-El Jobo road; road construction of the Las Cruces-La Herradura-Los Ranchos-Embalse highway section and construction of the La Jagüita-Altos del Aguacate road.
The company Egehid urged the community and the local authorities of the municipal district of Tavera to become the overseer of the correct investment of these resources. to guarantee the quality of the works, with which an improvement in the quality of life of the population is promoted, which is what the President of the Republic, Luis Abinader, works tirelessly for.
The travel works in this demarcation of the province of The Vega are carried out within the framework of the Corporate Social Responsibility of EGEHID, which allows it to bring solutions to the communities where the hydroelectric complexes are located, such as the Tavera dam, in this case.
