Chinese technology firm OPPO is reportedly developing a compact flagship smartphone, the Find X9s, which is expected to house an unusually large 7,000 mAh battery. This move would challenge the industry’s typical trade-off between device size and power capacity.
The rumored battery capacity would represent a significant upgrade from its predecessor, the Find X8s, which was launched with a 5,700 mAh battery in April 2025.
If accurate, the Find X9s’s power source would nearly match the battery sizes found in OPPO’s larger, recently launched Find X9 series flagships. The standard Find X9 includes a 7,025 mAh battery, while the Find X9 Pro features a 7,500 mAh unit.

The information comes from Digital Chat Station, a prominent tipster on China’s social media platform Weibo. The tipster claimed the Find X9s would succeed the Find X8s.
The Find X9s is anticipated to maintain a similar screen size to the Find X8s, which measured 6.32 inches. This would position it as a truly compact device in the current market of increasingly large smartphones.

OPPO recently introduced its Find X9 series in China, comprising the Find X9 and Find X9 Pro models. These devices are powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 chipset, which is built on a 3-nanometer process and features an 8-core CPU with speeds up to 4.21 GHz.
Other rumored specifications for the Find X9s include an improved Dimensity 9500+ chipset. Its design is expected to be similar to the standard Find X9.
The compact device may debut in April 2026. It could launch alongside other new models, potentially including a Find X9 Ultra and Find X9s+.
