Final Showdown in Barcelona
The last tournament of the year is set to conclude with a thrilling finale. The charismatic duo of Coki Grandson and Jon Sanz has reached the final of the Premier Padel Finals of Barcelona, defeating Momo Gonzalez and Ed Alonso in the semifinals. This victory comes after Gonzalez and Alonso pulled off a stunning upset by eliminating Gallant and Chingotto earlier in the week.
A Thrilling Semifinal Match
The Spanish pair had previously defeated Mike Yanguas and Franco Stupaczuk, the third-seeded couple, in an epic match. They then faced off against Gonzalez and Alonso in a highly competitive match at the Sant Jordi, in front of a crowd of 14,583 people. Grandson and Sanz proved to be more effective and accurate, adapting to the slow track conditions from the start.
A Ticket to the Final
Sanz was in top form during the defining moments that mattered, while Grandson’s defense was immense, with hardly any errors. This victory marks their third final appearance of the year. Their first title together was won in Bordeaux in June, where they defeated Momo Gonzalez and Alex Ruiz. They also reached the final in Finland in August, where they lost to Di Nenno and Lebron.
The Road to Victory
This Sunday, Grandson and Sanz will face off against Coello and Tapia in the final. However, as seen throughout the tournament, surprises can occur at any moment. Will the charismatic duo emerge victorious, or will their opponents pull off an upset? The stage is set for an exciting conclusion to the Premier Padel Finals of Barcelona.
